New Housing in Baraboo

November 13, 2020
(Tomah, Wi.)

The team at Americon Construction started a new project in Baraboo, Wisconsin this week.

The project that is now underway is a new multi-family apartment building.  This structure will consist of 66 units, encompassing an overall total of 112,000 square feet, 2 levels of underground parking, 4 stories of apartment living, a workout room, and a community room, which will be connected to a patio overlooking the Baraboo River (with natural gas grills on the patio).

The building is set-back off the river 75 feet, providing a great view for the residents inside this building. Baraboo is just minutes from Devil’s Lake, and only about 20 minutes from Wisconsin Dells.

Project Completion is estimated to be in 2021.

Pets & Animals Get New Home

Jackson County recognized the need of a new animal shelter (humane society) for the community.  They had outgrown their old smaller building.  Americon was selected for the project, and in late 2019, the project commenced.

In July of 2020, the pets moved in with their caretakers.  This facility has over 20 individual kennels, with both bright and dim lighting options, individual exterior attached space for each kennel, office space, exam rooms, welcoming (meet & greet) rooms and an outdoor run space. It is located just outside of Black River Falls, WI.

To adopt a pet, please contact the Jackson County Animal Shelter, by visiting the Jackson County Animal Shelter Website.

Onalaska Public Works Addition

Americon recently began an addition to the City of Onalaska, Wisconsin Public Works department facility on Mason Street.

There is a 9,400 square foot addition, that will house snow plows, and include a new brine room. This facility will include 11 new overhead doors.

Thank you to the City of Onalaska for choosing Americon Construction to handle this project.

New Parking Garage Dedicated

Recently, we dedicated a project completed this summer at the City of La Crosse Police Department. We had the privilege of expanding and renovating the Parking Garage for the police department. It was dedicated in honor of K9 Unit Police Dogs and Officers fallen in the line of duty.

The project began in July of 2018 and was completed by June 2019. Thank you to all officers and Canines that put themselves in front of danger every day, while protecting and serving our community.
