Americon Construction was selected to be the company providing framing carpenters to help build a new assisted living facility in Sparta, Wisconsin.   Although being developed by another general contractor (Kraus-Anderson), most duties on this project are subcontracted out.  We are proud that they selected our experienced team of to help build this project – one that’s important to the Sparta community.

The new 80,000 square foot skilled nursing and assisted living facility is constructed of poured-concrete foundations, structural steel, panelized wooden walls, steel siding, and asphalt shingle roofing. Monroe County’s new facility will feature 50 skilled nursing beds, 24 Community Based Retirement Facility (CBRF) beds, and 24 Residential Care Apartment Complex (RCAC) beds, in addition to amenities such as barbershop, salon, bistro, outdoor green spaces, and various activities directed by Therapeutic Recreation Specialists.

Skilled Nursing Facility Wings C & D to include:

  • 50 beds in a neighborhood concept subdivided into 3 smaller households of 16-17 beds.  Each household provides a living room, dining room, country kitchen and activity space that accommodate residents in a smaller, more intimate environment.  One of the households is dedicated to residents needing short-term stay rehabilitation care.
  • 46 private bedroom suites with private bathrooms
  • 2 double bedroom suites with private bathrooms
  • Access to two outdoor courtyards, one of which is completely secured for resident safety.

CBRF Household Wing B Includes:

  • 24 beds dedicated to assisted living care in a neighborhood concept subdivided into 2 smaller households of 12 beds.  Each household provides a living room, dining room, country kitchen and activity space that accommodate residents in a smaller, more intimate environment.
  • All resident rooms are private suites with private bathrooms.
  • Access to an outdoor central courtyard that will be fenced for resident safety.
RCAC Household Wing E Includes:
  • 24 apartments dedicated to serving residents with assisted living needs who desire to reside in an apartment style setting.
  • 16 one-bedroom apartments and 8 two-bedroom apartments will be available for residents.
  • Each apartment will have a separate living room, kitchen, full bathroom, bedroom(s) and laundry.
  • Common living, dining and activity spaces will be provided for resident socialization.

Commons Wing A Includes:

  • The Commons area will contain all of the spaces for overall services that support resident life such as the Main Kitchen, Receiving, General Storage, Central Laundry, Administrative Offices, etc.
  • The Commons area will also include amenity spaces for all residents to use such as a Café-bistro, Large Multi-Purpose Gathering and Activity Room, Physical Therapy Gym and Salon.

New Multi-Unit in Baraboo

Baraboo Project Update

The team at Americon Construction has been hard at work making sure that the new multi-family unit at 325 Lynn Street, Baraboo is on schedule.

It will be the most modern apartment community Baraboo as of 2022.  Located in the downtown area right on the Baraboo River, this facility will have well-appointed, open concept interiors featuring grand windows with breathtaking views, and apartments that have Keyless entry. Each unit equipped with either a private patio or balcony area, plus the building will have a 24-hour fitness center, an outdoor patio, and community room.

 
A completion date is estimated to be late May 2022, as tenancy is set to begin on June 1st.

The team at Americon Construction started a new project in Baraboo, Wisconsin this week.
 
The project that is now underway is a new multi-family apartment building.  This structure will consist of 66 units, encompassing an overall total of 112,000 square feet, 2 levels of underground parking, 4 stories of apartment living, a workout room, and a community room, which will be connected to a patio overlooking the Baraboo River (with natural gas grills on the patio).
 
The building is set-back off the river 75 feet, providing a great view for the residents inside this building. Baraboo is just minutes from Devil’s Lake, and only about 20 minutes from Wisconsin Dells.
Project Completion is estimated to be in 2021.
 
 
 

Trempealeau County Healthcare Center – Whitehall

The Trempealeau County Health Care Center, located in Whitehall, Wisconsin chose Americon for an extensive 20,000 square foot remodeling project to their existing facility.

The project began during 2019 and is nearing completion. This includes a complete remodeling of one wing in it’s existing building.  There are two floors in this section, which features a lounge kitchen, new restrooms and showers, as well as laundry room.  We’re excited to see the transformation of this older space into a new and inviting facility.

Abbey Court – Onalaska

A new Apartment Complex at Abbey Court, in Onalaska, Wisconsin began construction in the Fall of 2018.  This project is expected to continue beyond 2022 and create a wonderful economic impact to the Greater LaCrosse Area.  Not only is it providing jobs to many carpenters and other tradesmen, but also the materials being used are boosting local suppliers in providing concrete, lumber, roofing, electrical, plumbing and more.  This complex is centrally located in Onalaska, for quick and easy access to Highway 53 and Interstate 90, making a short commute to LaCrosse, Holmen, LaCrescent or West Salem.

Initial groundbreaking commenced late fall of 2018, and by early 2019, construction of both a 3-story 24 unit and a 4-story 40 unit structure were well underway.  During the Spring of 2019, construction of a 5,200 Square Foot clubhouse began, featuring a pool, hot tub, sauna, theater room, work out room, game room, community room, outside cabana hut with a surround sound system and much more, which was completed late 2020.  The clubhouse houses the office headquarters of 3 Amigos Property Management, which manages approximately 1,000 units throughout the greater LaCrosse Area.

A third, 3-story / 24 unit was started in 2020 and completed in 2021.  Currently, a fourth building, housing 80 units, is now up, with completion to be late 2022 or early 2023.

As the demand for housing continues to increase in the LaCrosse area, plans also include (2) additional 4-story 80 unit buildings, tentatively planned to begin in 2022.

Each building includes secure underground indoor parking with a pet / dog wash station, while each unit has its own private patio or balcony.

Grasslands Luxury Apartment Complex – Holmen

In 2018, we completed a large undertaking in Holmen, which was named the “Grasslands.”  This property includes two large multi-unit structures near New Amsterdam, located at 1604-1614 Prairie Place in Holmen, Wisconsin (a mere 5 minute drive north of Holmen). This property is conveniently located off of Highway-53 for a quick commute in any direction, with private balconies with gorgeous views of the New Amsterdam Grasslands.  The rental units include four different floor plan layouts and more information can be found at lacrosseareaapartments.net.

Project Description

Americon was selected as the design-build general contractor for the Quincy Court apartment renovations.   Americon redesigned and renovated 62 market rate units.  Before the renovation, Quincy Court was less than 50% occupied; after the renovations, the property was 99% occupied.  Good design and good products can quickly attract tenants!  This project is located in Onalaska, Wisconsin.

Project Description

Americon was selected as the design-build general contractor for the River Center apartment renovation located downtown in La Crosse, WI.  The project consisted of renovating 62 market rate units, pool, commons room, office, and much more.

Project Description

Americon was selected as the design-building general contractor for the River’s Edge Apartment renovation.  The project consisted of renovating 138 market rate units, corridors, common rooms, offices, patios, unit porches, river floatable decks, work out facility, and much more! This project is located overlooking the Black River, in La Crosse, WI.

Arrowhead Apartments – LaCrosse

Project Description

Americon was selected as the design-build general contractor for the Arrowhead Apartment renovations.   Americon redesigned and renovated 246 market rate units.  Before the renovation, Arrowhead was less than 40% occupied; after the renovations the property was 92% occupied.  Good design and good products can quickly attract tenants!

At the time of the renovation, Arrowhead Apartments was the largest multifamily property in La Crosse county. This project is located in La Crosse, WI.

Residential Home

Project Description

Americon was selected to be the developer and design-builder/ general contractor for the multifamily construction of a property located in Tomah, Wisconsin.  The project consisted of 3,500 SF house, 1,500 SF bath house, brick driveway / patios, boating / party dock, landscaping, and much more.  This project took an extensive approach with having a tremendous focus on being detail oriented.
