CARPENTER

Our Carpenters are the core of everything that Americon does, and there is no success without them.  A Carpenter is a construction professional who works with construction crews to build, adjust and repair wood frameworks in various construction projects.

Summary
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Ability to travel from site to site is required.
  • Ability to follow direction and work well with others is essential.
  • Carpenters must qualify in knowledge of generally accepted carpentry practices. Skills must be proven prior to independent performance on the job site.
  • Follow all training and safety rules.
  • Must be willing and able to learn skills that may be required to complete a job.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

SUPERINTENDENT

Construction Superintendents execute construction projects by organizing, planning, and overseeing project tasks at the job site. They complete quality inspections and supervise all project members, including staff and sub-contractors.

Summary
  • Quality –  maintain the highest possible quality.
  • Maintain a clean and organized jobsite
  • Communicate with the PMs, Carpenters, Subcontractors, Owners, etc.
  • Ensure that all layouts follow the job plans & specifications
  • Assist the PMs with creating schedules and managing the project timelines
  • Receiving materials
  • Maintain onsite safety requirements
  • Ensure all Carpenters show up on time and are on task
  • Ensure all Carpenters are performing tasks in the most efficient ways possible.
  • Coordinate & Commuicate with all Subcontractors.
  • Notifying the Project Manager of any delays in schedule timeline.

PROJECT MANAGER

Project Managers coordinate all aspects of the construction process, including drafting & presenting a proposal to the customer, submitting a bid, hiring contractors and working with engineers, architects and vendors. They oversee the project as a whole.

  • Weekly Microsoft Project schedules
  • Coordinating/instructing onsite superintendent/foreman
  • Project financials
  • Conducting job site progress meetings
  • Invoices/Pay applications
  • Approval of all subcontract pay requests
  • Help gather all project close outs; operation and maintenance manual information

CONCRETE FOREMAN

The Concrete Foreman must have the ability to read plans and specifications, layout site concrete and foundations, set grade, finish concrete, manage a team of 3-7 team members, and travel from site to site is required. Read more of the complete description at the link below.
